Rudra is a Tamil series aired on Zee Tamil starring Khushbu, the magnificent actress of Kollywood. The story depicts the life of a married woman who juggles her work life as a lawyer and house life as a wife adeptly and efficiently. Behind the veneer of the ordinary and normalcy, it is hinted early on in the serial that Rudra's past is intrinsically complex.

The exchange on the tennis court between her husband, Bala, and another character reinforces the sense of complex dynamics between the characters.Being a lawyer, Rudara's life quintessentially revolves around legal documents and client meetings. And one of such meetings led her to an opulent house with which she has some immutable connections.

Her meeting with the grand old patriarch of the family and their interactions gives off the nature of a fatherly love that connects her to the elderly man.

During their meeting, the patriarch demands a strange favour from her. He asks her to be the guardian of his wealth as he has little or no faith in his own family members. He fears that if left to his kin, they will squander his hard-earned money. This leaves Rudra in a difficult situation as she is left to choose between her loyalty to the old man and the grave consequences she may have to face.
