Shakthi is a Hindi show which aired on the channel Colors as Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has been dubbed in Tamil. The show is about a girl named Soumya. The show opens with a man named Maninder trying to kill his newborn daughter, but her mother, Nimmi saves her from her father. Soumya's father and her paternal grandmother hate her and prefer her sister Surbhi over her. As a turn of events has it, Soumya is kidnapped by Harman and then she was forced to marry him. Post her marriage Soumya is forced into the Kinnar society. Harman, who now has some feelings for Soumya, forces her to come back to his house, but Harman’s mother refuses to accept Soumya after finding out the truth about her. Did she unite with Harman? The rest of the story is about the lives of the couple.
