Muttaku is a Tamil web series that aired on Mediacorp Drama You Tube channel. The show is a horror thriller. The show has 43 episodes. The show displays multiple plot threads with various characters. The story centers around a man named Arivazhagan ("Dingu") who is struggling to find stable employment. In the beginning, Ari had resorted to dressing up as a monkey to make a living, until someone came along and ruined even that source of income for him. In one subplot, there are two scientists - Jeyan and Suma. Suma is researching and developing some kind of secret formula, which her boss Singam is eagerly awaiting and pressuring her to complete.
Jeyan, Suma's friend, hatches a plan to steal the formula from Suma's lab and give it to her so she can replicate the work faster and appease Singam. In another subplot, two young boys want to explore a reputedly haunted house for thrills. They enlist the help of a strange man who shows them the ghost through a window for a fee. The boys leave terrified but also record a video which goes viral online. At one point, Arivazhagan receives a lawyer's letter, hinting at some legal troubles regarding his housing situation.
