The serial revolves around the story of Vikram (Sameer Ahamathu), an arrogant businessman, and his next-door neighbor, Vedha (Ashwathy Ash), who loves children but cannot conceive. Vikram has a daughter, Tanvika, who became the reason for their unison.

Vedha is a loving and caring pediatrician who loves children but cannot have one of her own. She moves into a new house with her family. Her next-door neighbor, Vikram, has a daughter named Tanvika. Since Vikram always remains busy with his work, Tanvika craves a motherly figure. Hence, Tanvika and Vedha started bonding with each other. Vikram is an arrogant businessman who has recently divorced his disloyal wife. However, her betrayal still haunts him, making him despise love and relationships.

One day, Vedha goes to her sister-in-law’s baby naming ceremony. There, she meets her ex-fiance, Siddharth. He and his family had canceled their wedding due to Vedha’s infertility. On the other hand, Tanvika asks Vedha to give her phone so she can wish her father a happy Mother’s Day. However, this makes Vikram angry. He shouts at Vedha for giving her phone to Tanvika. It is their first interaction, in which Vikram calls Vedha atrocious, and Vedha calls Vikram arrogant. It became a running gag throughout the show.

Since Vikram always remains absent from the life of Tanvika, his parents decided to take matters into their own hands. They started searching for a suitable bride for Vikram, who could also become the mother of Tanvika. Vikram refuses to attend the school ceremony of Tanvika due to his business, making her upset. Hence, she asks for the help of Vedha, who pranks Vikram by imitating his mother and the school principal.  As a result, Vikram rushes back to celebrate the birthday of Tanvika. But Tanvika looked similar to her mother, making Vikram remember his disloyal ex-wife. Hence, he struggles to even look at her. Later, when Vikram meets the principal, she reprimands him for not paying proper attention to his daughter. So, he participates in a sports event with his daughter. Vikram ends up dropping Tanvika because she reminds him of his ex-wife.

Soon, Vedha realizes that Tanvika lacks a mother figure in her life. She tries to talk with Vikram about it, who gets angry with her. Later, due to some misunderstanding, she lies that Vikram is her fiancé. Her mother also heard her statement and decided to make Vikram his son-in-law. Vikram and Vedha meet again at a wedding. There, Kogila insults Vedha for talking with Siddharth privately. Hence, Kaveri, the mother of Vedha, tells everyone that Vikram is her future son-in-law. Vikram denies her claims, and Vedha does not say anything due to her confusion. This leaves Kaveri humiliated, and she decides to find a suitable groom for her daughter. Her search ends up with a young man named Ranganathan. Now, the story of Vikram and Vedha takes a new turn, leaving the audience speculating about the further events.
