Bommukutty Ammavuku is a Tamil serial broadcast on the Vijay TV channel. In this serial, a woman named Meera loses her two-year-old daughter Aarthi. The serial starts with Meera having a nightmare which involves her daughter running alone on the road, crying and helpless. She sees the address of a house of a man named R. Lakshmanan, where her daughter has wandered through the gates. She wakes up, screaming her daughter’s name. The rest of the family members stand and watch as she bangs doors of rooms, searching for her daughter, like crazy. Meera’s husband is named Prakash. Prakash consoles Meera and makes her understand that their daughter is not here. Meera then reminisces the time when she lost her daughter.
Prakash, Meera, and Aarthi had gone to an amusement park. Aarthi was taking a ride. Meera was talking to Prakash, and in the very next second, Aarthi vanishes. She just vanished from the ride. Meanwhile, the life of a girl named Bommi is shown. Bommi gets on a bus and starts eying passenger’s possessions. She plans on pickpocketing from them. She chooses her passengers and starts stealing their purses. But a lady discovers that she lost her purse. She makes the bus stop and starts searching every passenger.
Bommi places the purse in some other’s man bag, and the fellow passengers start beating them. Upon seeing this, the police are called. The police are unable to find the stolen goods as Bommi saves him. They both become friends and go shopping together, where Bommi gives him a shirt as a gift. Meera’s family believes that it is Meera’s responsibility for losing her child. They think that Meera is mentally unstable the way she is behaving with them. They taunt her continuously. Bommi is a naughty kid and she gets scolded by her mother a lot. Is BommiMeera’s long lost daughter? Will Meera be able to ever find her daughter?
