Mahasangam Nua Bou & Durga was an Odia-language televised show on Colors Odia. This 2018 serial was a hit and well received by the regional TV content viewers. Mahasangam: Nua Bou & Durga narrates a tale of love, betrayal, and hatred. The story has a somewhat unusual plot and emphasizes the dark results of superstitious beliefs harbored by people. A simple village girl gets married to an affluent household. She hopes for an ideal married life and to be the perfect daughter-in-law. However, she gains a life of hardships and betrayal instead. She learns that her in-laws had her married to their household because of a superstitious belief. This series revolves around the love tale of Radhika and Satwik and their struggles for a happy married life.

The story centers on Radhika, a village girl who desires to be an ideal daughter-in- law and wife amidst a sophisticated family. She gets married to grief-stricken Satwik, who recently lost his beloved former wife. However, paranormal activities start occurring around Radhika. Satwik's father Raaj Rajendra (RR), and brother Biraj rule the household authority. At one point, Biraj murders Satwik. RR then introduces a look-alike named Jagga to take Satwik's place and marry Radhika to have an heir. Jagga happily complies as he secretly loves Radhika. Deceiving Radhika about needing to remarry for peace, Jagga takes Satwik's spot in the wedding. But the real Satwik strategically replaces Jagga and gets married to an unaware Radhika instead. When Radhika learns of Jagga's existence, she doubts her actual husband. She loses her baby, and conflict erupts between Radhika and Satwik over trust issues. Later, Radhika believes Satwik, and they reconcile, leading a happy life. However, Satwik's childhood friend Nayantara's return makes Radhika feel insecure. Realizing his family won't spare Radhika due to ongoing conspiracies, Satwik attempts to kill Radhika to save her, but she misinterprets this. Hurt, Radhika decides to punish Satwik and his manipulative family members. The story raises questions about whether Radhika will uncover the truth about Satwik's sacrificial act and if the two will reunite after the misunderstandings.
