Maharashtracha Favourite Kon? Awards is the annual celebration of excellence in Marathi cinema conducted by Zee Talkies. Founded in 2009, these awards are a wide celebration of various different artistic skills within an industry and therefore puts it in the most influential event among filmmakers, actors, and technicians. The process behind selecting the award is peculiar in the award ceremony. The majority of the categories within the award are judged by a jury consisting of well-respected filmmakers, critics, and industry experts to give full credit to technical expertise and popular acclaim. However, in one particular category referred to as "Favourite awards," it is voted for by public choice so that the public gets to have a say in the celebration of their favorite. The awards initiated with popular art and cinema. This event overlooked the technological aspects in the very first event. The function of the event in the first year presented public voting for all time favorite movies and artists in nine areas.
These included Favorite Hero, Heroine, Film, Director, Music Director, and Playback Singer for Male and Female groups. It then built an active interface among the viewers and the production house. In fact, Marathi film awards are indeed the celebrations of all those versatile talents part of Marathi cinema, especially the last few years. By Vaibhav Tatwawadi and
