Mati Konkanchi Nati Janmachi is a Marathi drama TV show that aired on Doordarshan Sahyadri. This is the story of underprivileged families in the Konkan region of India. The setting is based in a small village where a number of families are occupied in the agricultural sector and work as farmers. This show demonstrates the poor living conditions of the older farmers of the area. The older farmers are not able to become financially stable and stay poor even after putting an immense amount of hard work into their work. They are barely able to make any money in return for their hard work. While the older farmers are working day and night, the younger farmers are doing better in comparison. The younger generation of farmers is selling their lands in return for some money that helps them survive. This show is an amazing representation of the state of such poor farmers in India.
