The deity of the Bhira village is Goddess Bhirai. The villagers are highly superstitious. Kashi, the daughter of a devdasi, marries Sanjay, a politician’s relative. Kamini, Sanjay’s aunt, and Surya, her son, torture Kashi as they don’t like her to be a part of their family. Bhau Kaka and Goda, who work in Sanjay’s house, always support the couple. The village head, Bappaji, is afraid that Kashi, an ardent devotee of Goddess Bhirai, may threaten his position. As there are some people like them, Kashi and Sanjay had to separate, falling into their trap. Did they reunite? Was Kashi a real threat to Bappaji? The rest of the story deals with how Kashi and Sanjay reunite.
Neha Pendse played the leading lady Kashi and Vivek Raut played the role of Sanjay. Surekha played the role of Kamini, and Ketan Kshirsagar played the role of Surya. Ashit Ambekar and Sandhya Mhatre played the helpers at Sanjay’s home. Gururaj Avdhani played the religious village head.
