It is a Marathi language serial that premiered in 2021 on Zee Marathi. Aggabai Sunbai follows a different narrative from the former serial. Asavari is shown as a businesswoman who leads the DBK Company. Asavari Kulkarni is a single mother of a son named Soham Kulkarni. She lives with her Aajoba (father of her husband), Shubhra (Soham's wife), and Shubham (Soham and Shubhra’s son). Soham is a carefree and greedy man. He takes up a job as the second in command in his mother's company. Shubhra was an employee at a firm; however, after giving birth to her son, she decided to be a homemaker and look after her son.

Soham was not keen on Shubhra's move and saw her being occupied in household responsibilities. Soham started an affair with his secretary Suzzane. The affair blooms because Suzzane uses Soham to favor her needs and lifestyle. Abhijeet is not seen as a Chef and owner of Abhi’s Kitchen in the sequel. Soham creates a bad impression of Shubhra and thus, Shubham takes his mother for granted. When Abhijeet learns about Soham's affair, he alerts Shubhra to take action. Asavari sees herself when reflecting on Shubhra’s past. Thus, she offers Shubhra to join the company. Shubhra is given an equivalent position beside her husband. Suzzane backfires at Shubhra accusing her of living a lavish lifestyle for her son and herself Asavari wants to see Shubhra being confident and independent, after Shubhra’s parents’ death, she became shy and underconfident. Asavari wanted to revive Shubhra’s confidence. On Shubhra’s wedding anniversary, she learnt about Soham’s affair and realized the spoiled brat her son has become because of Soham.
