Hindi Web Series The Broken News

Broken News is a Hindi language web series premiered on 10th June 2022 on Zee5. The web series presents a different perspective of the news industry, showcasing the challenges, hustle, and competition that surround the editors of the top news channels. The story focuses on 'Aawaz Bharati' and 'Josh 24/7' top news channels based in Mumbai. Amina Qureshi, a credible editor who believes in journalism ethics, is the head of Aawaz Bharati. However, the news channel is penniless. On the other hand, Dipankar Sanyal is the head of Josh 24/7. The channel is ranked No.1 according to trps; however, it presents sensational news.

Dipankar Sanyal being the editor of Josh 24/7, aims at grabbing eyeballs and raising the channel's viewership. In the middle of these two extremes is Radha Bhargava, who works at the Aawaz Bharati news channel. Broken News, although a remake of the British series 'Press', has remarkably presented the ideologies. The web series shows the hardships that individuals working at top news channels go through.
