Hindi Web Series Lootere

Lootere is an entertaining series with a blend of drama, thrill and action. The series features well known actors Vivek Gombar, Rajat Kapoor, Amruta Khanvilkar and Martial Batchamen Tchana is created by Hansal Mehta, Shailesh R Singh and directed by Jai Mehta. The exciting story of the series is written by Anshuman Sinha, Vishal Kalpoor, Suparn Verma and music is composed by Achint Thakkar. The series is produced by Waris Thakur, Ruchira Janwalikar, Ganesh Mandapeli, Aditya Singh while the cinematographer is Jall Cowasjii and the editor is Viraj Gadodia.

Plot

The story is focused on the hijack of an Ukrainian cargo ship, which was carrying guns and few Indian crew onboard, was moving towards Mogadishu but was redirected towards a town in Somalia by a gang of Somalian pirates. The hijacked shipment belongs to a powerful businessman named Vikrant Gandhi. Vikrant tries every possible way to rescue his shipment from the hijackers. Will he get his shipment back? What consequences he will face throughout the whole process?

Star Performance

Vivek Gomber as Vikrat Gandhi, is seen playing the role of a businessman, who is  self-centred and takes partial decisions without thinking about others. Rajat Kapoor as A.K Singh, is seen in the role of the captain of the ship carrying a million dollars shipment which is enroute towards Mogadishu. After the hijack, he is seen taking the pressure of leadership and handling the hijackers skillfully. Amruta Khanvilkar playing the wife of Vikrant on screen. The supporting characters Aamir Ali and Abhishek Khan have played their roles significantly. 

Analysis

The drama and thrill in the series lead to intense performances by the characters. The story is about a ship carrying valuable consignment of a businessman, which is hijacked by a gang of pirates in Somalia. Vikrant is only concerned about his own benefits and is ready to risk other’s life for his selfish motives, while A K Singh is seen befitting between his duties and survival. The story of the series succeeded in keeping the viewers engrossed in all the episodes.

Verdict

The series Lootere comprises dramatic scenes with stirring visuals and a hijacking storyline that leads to several deaths and losses in the end. The scenes showcasing the intense action between the pirates and the crew members and Vikarant’s constant effort to drive the valuable consignment at the same time saving his family and crew members, were well executed.
