Talespin was an animated series that was aired on Doordarshan (metro2). It was originally an American animated series that was broadcasted on Disney channel in the year 1990. The series attained a great reach among the kids, so it was dubbed and released in Hindi on Doordarshan only on Sundays, and it had a total of 21 episodes. This series is mainly based on the jungle book and jungle cubs. The characters played in this series are wild animals and not humans. The format of the series is that the Talespin is located in the city of Cape Suzette, and it lays in the harbor. The city is also safeguarded by a massive natural wall that is parted in two ways, and it was useful for harbor’s to go outside and collect essential foods. The partitioned area was also protected with air-based weapons so that it would protect the city from the air pirates.
This series revolves around Baloo, the bear who owns a cargo freight business which is named “Baloo air business.” An orphan boy grizzly (sea duck) and Rebecca (tiger) becomes his companions and navigators. This series is followed by the adventures of Baloo, the bear and his companions, and the obstacles which are faced by them.
This series was adored by the kids mainly because of the beautiful characters that were portrayed in this series, and its introduction song also became very famous. Even now, the 90’s kids wish that these series should be broadcasted again in Doordarshan and these series relishes their childhood memories
