Broadcast on the SONY Entertainment channel, the contestants of this show have to answer questions related to history, geography, general knowledge, biology, mathematics, politics, and Bollywood to win cash prize accordingly. The tenth season marks the eighteenth year of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan’s journey as the host of this show. This season was special as it started with an interactive interview in which Mr. Amitabh Bachchan answered some most-asked questions related to this show. Season ten of this show has almost sixty episodes on air. This season of Kaun Banega Crorepati offered four lifelines which are Audience poll, Fifty: Fifty, Ask the Expert, and Jodidaar ie, Plus One.

This season has replaced its previous lifeline of Phone a Friend by Ask the Expert lifeline. In this new lifeline, 60 seconds are given to the contestant for asking a question from the expert of that episode via video call. The maximum amount of cash prize which is won by the contestants is Ten Crore. There is a particular registration period in which contestants can enter. In order to be eligible contestants must be residents and citizens of India and at least eighteen years of age. The first round is ‘Fastest Finger First’ in which contestants have to arrange the options of a given question according to the correct chronology. The person who arranges them correctly in minimum time would be the first one to play this game.

The number of questions asked in this season was sixteen with three main safe points. These safe points guaranteed money even the upcoming question is answered wrong. But in this season no one was able to answer correctly the jackpot question. She won Rs. 12,50,000 quitting on the question next to this cash prize one as she had already used all her lifelines and was not knowing the answer to this question.
