Arre Deewano Mujhe Pehchano was a reality television serial that used to air on Star Plus. The serial premiered on 2nd January, 2009 and concluded on 13th February, 2009. The serial was a unique take on reality shows and was very different from all other reality shows. It had no judges or eliminations, and its main focus stayed on comedy. The serial was marketed as a show that did not have the traditional items such as staged melodrama and fights. In each episode, the celebrity contestants disguised themselves and played pranks on unwary victims; these people may be family, friends or even strangers!!

The show also had an animated character in the form of a donkey called Gadhashri. Gadhashri examined the pranks that were done by celebrities and was famous for making hilarious observations that set the viewers rolling down with laughter. Every week, one of the contestants would be given a prize in the form of the appellation of ‘Master of Disguise’. The winner was chosen via a vote that involved all the eight participants.

The show enjoyed a moderately successful run and was praised because of its original concept and entertaining humour.
