Kavita Choudhary, who is the sister of Kanchan Chaudhary Bhattacharya, had directed, acted and even written the serial. It was perhaps a first serial to go on the air that focused on women empowerment. The show was applauded by critics and audiences even. Notably, performance and direction capability of Kavita Choudhary was appreciated by everyone.
In this series, actor Shekhar Kapoor played Kavita’s co-star (but in a cameo appearance) as the IAS officer who played Kavita's love interest. The story showed how a woman battles gender discrimination and various problems before successfully becoming a police officer.
