As for now the total number of episodes is 191 each with a running time of 20 minutes. The serial revolves around the Toshniwal family and the involvement of the Goddess Lakshmi in the family matters. We see Savita Toshniwal who is portrayed as a middle aged woman who is a huge devotee of the Goddess Lakshmi. She along with her husband manage and run the Toshniwal snack shop. However, when a financial crisis emerges in the business, she blames Goddess Lakshmi for the situation and asks for her help. On the other side the goddess realizes that Savita needs to learn the true meaning of being wealthy and how one can achieve success without completely relying on the goddess.

Lakshmi arrives in her human avatar and decides to guide Savita. However, in her mission to do so she discovers that the entire Toshniwal family is filled with the 7 sins of hell. With Lakhsmi’s guidance and support Savita comes to realize and accept all the flaws of the family such as anger, lust, greed, jealousy, etc. She also begins to realise that the goddess is always there to support her but they have to undertake certain decisions and opportunities and work on them in order to gain true success and wealth. The family which was once filled with the 7 sins slowly begins to improve and becomes a proper family with faith, love and trust amongst each other. However, When Lakshmi breaks the laws of nature and brings back Savita from the dead, her evil sister Alakshmi comes into the picture and decides to take revenge by destroying the faith Savita has on Lakshmi. Maya, Savita’s elder daughter-in-law loses her baby as a result of Alakshmi rriving in the house.

After this when Savita worships Alakshmi thinking that it is Lakshmi, her evil powers increase and she decides to bring hell on to the family. She tries to brainwash Savita and tells her to uproot the Tulsi plant but Savita’s conscience stops her somehow and Alakshmi’s plans are foiled. Then she tries to bring back the 7 sins in the family and when the plan succeeds the family gets separated as a result. Kavita, Savita’s sister takes over the household by a plan of her own and kicks the other members out. Savita and the rest of her family take refuge in their ancestral shop while Shreya, Savita’s other daughter in law sleeps on the road in front of the house. Lakhsmi helps them in their time of need and also protects Shreya from the goons that Kavita sent after her. After this and a series of events, Lakshmi inorms Savita that a part of her will be born as a child carried by Shreya.

Soon after this, Maya and Shreya both get pregnant but Shreya gains some powers of her own when she gets pregnant. Maya gets jealous as she was not getting the same treatment that Shreya was getting from Savita and this causes resentment in her. If Maya overcomes her jealousy, whether the Toshniwal family is reunited and happy once again with the Goddess on their side and how the goddess protects the family and Savita throughout their times of need is what the rest of the episodes constitute.
