Chhavi Pandey was born on 18 July 1986 in Patna, Bihar. Ever since a young girl she showed interest in music, dancing and acting. Chhavi gained her education in her birth city Patna where she finished St. Joseph's Convent High School and after that graduated in sociology from Magadh Mahila College. Apart from the formal education, she was very dedicated in her singing and dancing lessons too. She learned Kathak, light music and classical music at Navrang Lalit Kala Kendra and aspired to perform in films and TV series. Her parents were very supportive of their daughter's career aspirations and believed in her talent, energy and persistence. Chhavi's first TV appearance was in 2008 when she participated in the 1st season of the show India's Got Talent on Colors TV. Her next role was in Sur Sangram on Mahuaa TV and later acted in a TV serial Ankhiyo Ke Jharokhe Se on the same channel. Her fantastic acting skills helped her gain a lead role in the Bhojpuri movie called "Bidesia".
