Naam Gum Jaayega was expected to be Shobhna Desai’s major launched project in 2003. But unfortunately, this show could not grab much attention so it went off air in 2 months. NGJ went on air from 19 May and made a run of 60 episodes. This serial was broadcast on Sony Channel.

The photographs of a Burkha-clad girl along with that of a Hindu girl were pasted on the billboard; asking if she is willing to change her religion. Such kind of hoardings was torn apart at the Aradhana Cinema by unidentified people.
