SM Sriramulu Naidu (1910 – 1976), who managed three film studios, deserves credit. He was named "Coimbatore Movie Mogul," implying a legendary mark he had established in the film industry. Munuswami, his father, was a station master when he was born in Tiruchi in 1910. Naidu used to work in his father's bakery. In 1936, he founded Central Studio in Coimbatore with his mates R.K. Ramakrishnan Chettiar, B. Rangaswamy, and Aamikannu Vincent. However, he left them in 1944 and established Pakshiraj Studios in 1945. His debut film as a director was Maa(1956). He was featured in a cult film named Bicharak, alongside Uttam Kumar in 1959. This film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Bengali.
