Mohan Segal was an Indian director. He was born on 1 December 1921 in Jalandhar, Punjab, India.  Apart from being a director, he was also a producer. His son's name is Deepak Segal, who is a popular editor. Mohan’s wife's name is Asha Mathur. His daughter Uma Segal made the award-winning documentary named ‘The Shelter in 1982. The films directed by Mohan Segal are, Aulad, Sajan, Woh Main Nahin, Kanyadaan, Ek Hi Raasta, Sawan Bhadon, Krorepati, Kasam Suhag Ki, Hum Hain Lajawaab, Daulat, Samraat, Kartvaya, Suntan, RajaRani, Devar, New Delhi, Apna Haath Jagannath, and Adhikar. He also acted in four films Sajan, Afsar, Phool Aur Kaante, and Neecha Nagar. He wrote the story for two films Krore Pati, and New Delhi. Mohan passed away on 19 October 2005 at the age of 83 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Anant was born on 22nd September 1915 in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. During the 1960s to 1980s, he worked with music director Vasant Pawar and gave a lot of hit movies. Vasant Joglekar was born in Nagpur, Berar, British India, on September 25, 1914. He was a Marathi film director and producer who also directed a handful of Bollywood films. He is most known for producing two Bollywood family dramas in the 1960s, Aanchal and Aaj Aur Kal. Ashok Kumar and Nirupa Roy starred in his first Hindi film, Aanchal (1960), with Nanda, Sudesh Kumar, and Om Prakash supporting roles. In his film Aanchal, actress Lalitha Pawar played a mother-in-law in a very unusual favorable role. Nanda won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Though his second Bollywood picture, Aaj Aur Kal (1963), received a U-certificate when released, it was re-certified by the censor board in 1981 after nine cuts.

A S A Samy or Arul Soosai Anthony Samy was a Tamil film director and screenwriter. Samy was born in the year 1915 in Colombo, Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). His childhood and school education happened in Colombo. Samy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from the University of London. Samy began his career as a teacher at a college in Colombo. His family moved to India in the late 1930s. The first play written by him was Bilhanan, which was broadcast on All India Radio, Tiruchi station, and was a hit.
