This serial belongs to the comedy-drama genre. This show is all about a novelist named Hank Moody, who becomes prey for drinking, womanising and drugs, due to which his personal relationships become complicated. The sixth season deals about Hank’s life when he moves to a rehab centre and meets a lady named Faith.

The sixth season had been telecasted between January 13, 2013, and April 7, 2013. Following the events of the fifth season, Hank Moody finds himself in a rehab centre. He always gets dreams of his ex-girlfriend Carrie. Hank’s daughter Becca tells him that she wants to be a writer like her father. Hank and Karen don't want their daughter to get into the field in which her father has been and has suffered a lot. While in his rehab, Hank meets a woman named Faith. Hank and Faith together make a trip to the outside world from rehab and goes to attend Faith’s friend’s funeral.

There he finds Karen, whose has come as an interior decorator. Hank Moody advises Becca not to pursue a writing career. Finally, Becca decides to change her mind and goes to a law school. Faith starts developing feeling for Hank, and this makes Karen jealous. Hank poses as Faith’s boyfriend in front of Faith’s parents. Marcy and Charlie announce to Hank that they are going to get re-married after many ups and downs in their life. Hank gets confused on choosing between Faith and Karen. Finally, Hank thinks of Proposing Karen to marry him and goes to meet her.

The main protagonist of this show Hank Moody has been played by David Duchovny, who is a well- known actor, writer and producer, and is famous for his role as an FBI agent in ‘The X-Files’. The character of Karen Van Der Beek was played by Natasha McElhone, who is known for her roles in the American films Ronin, Solaris, The Truman. Madeleine Martin has played the role of Rebecca Moody.
