The story of this show revolves around Simon Bodger (played by Andy Cunningham) who is a handyman(a person employed to do occasional renovations or repairs) and his pet Badger who has an inevitable inclination for mashed potatoes. The show displays how over-fondness of mashed potatoes of Badger troubled Bodger every time.
This show completed nine successful series, the first launched in 1989, and the last ending series was in 2000. The first four series showcase how the handyman Bodger hid Badger from his bosses from work and saved himself from getting fired, every time, in every new job. The plot of the story didn’t twist even when Badger starts to stay home instead of his workplace. Now Bodger attempts to hide Bodger from his landlady who hates Badgers. ( Bodger works for his landlady from series 5 to 7).
In 9th series, Bodger becomes Tourist Information Officer, hiding Badger again was his priority as badger could create hygiene and safety risks, but the series focuses more on Mousey, a mouse friend of Bodger who loves cheese. The show ends in 2000, where Badger accidentally drowned himself in mashed potato and dies.
