Memsaab No. 1 Chalni Ke Chalal Babuni is a reality show which telecasts on Zee Ganga channel in Bhojpuri language. The show was in the quest for the ideal homemaker, which, according to the show, is the woman who will be a perfect example of the best virtues of a housewife. The show had a total of 52 episodes. The format of the show called for putting the homemakers to practical tests to determine their skills, personality, and knowledge that they possessed. The two main judges of the show were Bhojpuri actress Pakkhi Hegde and Rinku Ghosh. Here contestants competes with each other to become the ultimate ‘‘Sarv Gunn Sampann” which means the ‘‘all-in-one’’ homemaker of excellence. It was not only about accomplishing the tasks, but also about the qualities and behavior of the contestants.

To add a little extra spice to the show, a typical segment known as ‘Thumka Lagaoo’ was incorporated. The contestants danced during this segment, and after the dance performances, celebrity guests from the Bhojpuri film industry supported the judges. Many celebrity guests were invited in the show, some of them were Rani Chatterjee, Nissar Khan and Kajal Raghwani. With that the show had many different games which includes management of a household, cooking and cleaning, and looking after to other members of the family. The contestants were given some tasks to complete within time and they were judged according to their decision-making, their abilities to manage their time, and their communication skills.

The contestants had several tests and quizzes on daily life experiences, including cooking, food shopping. The show also included twists in between to make the tasks a little more complicated. The aim of the show, or the goal that the show’s creators seem to have been pursuing, was to identify the ideal homemaker, someone who has all the qualities of a perfect woman and has leadership potential, too. She has to be an effective communicator, be good at solving conflicts, and be able to organize people and things around her. The show is very fascinating, and it is must watch for everyone.
