Leena Gangopadhyay is a Bengali writer, director, and producer. She was born on 12th January in Purulia in West Bengal. Leena Gangopadhyay completed her graduation from the University of Calcutta. She is a Bengali literature graduate and also completed her M.Ed. She is the Chairperson of the West Bengal Commission for Women since 2019. Leena belongs to the political party, All India Trinamool Congress. From 1988-1995, she had been an independent writer and a journalist. Besides this, she ran an NGO organization.
