Ramakrishna from Tenali belongs to a weak financial background. He loves Sharada, and his mother arranges for his marriage. But he doesn’t want to get married until he settles in life. Rama had a couple of situations where he had to face Thathacharyar, the royal priest of the Vijayanagar Empire. In those situations, Thathacharyar feels that Rama purposely insulted him, and hence, he challenges him to enter Vijayanagar. Gundappa, a small boy, is Rama’s friend. Gundappa’s father owns a piece of land, but as he couldn’t plough the field, he is unable to sow anything. When Gundappa tells this to Rama, he devises an idea and spreads fake information that Gundappa’s field has some golden treasure. Hearing this, everyone in the town started digging the field, and finally, the ploughing work gets over overnight. After realizing Rama’s plan, the entire town, including Rama’s mother, scolds him. However, Gundappa’s father is happy, as his field is ready. Seeing his brainy idea, a Sadhu tells Rama to worship Kaali Maata and chants her name thousand times. After he completes his chants wholeheartedly, Kaali Maata appears before him and blesses him with some boons. After this, he marries Sharada and moves to Vijayanagar. His mother and friend Gundappa, accompany them. Again, in Vijayanagar, he meets Thathacharyar, who schemes a plan and twists him for a thief. Rama was taken before King Krishnadevaraya and was given the death sentence. How did he escape from the situation and become one of the favorites of the King? This forms the rest of the story.
