Hindi Tv Serial Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega

Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega was a reality television show that aired on NDTV Imagine in 2010 and concluded in March of the same year. The show was a competition; fifteen girls competed with each other so that they could become the bride of public personality Rahul Mahajan, who is the son of the late politician, Pramod Mahajan. The serial was the sequel to the reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamwar. In each episode, the girls (ladies) tried their best to impress Mr. Mahajan , at specific intervals in the show, he would eliminate some of the contestants. This continued until the finals, in which only three girls were left.

The winner of the show was then 21 years old Dimpy Ganguly, who married Mr. Mahajan in a huge event organised by the show. This was the first time that a marriage had occurred via a television serial, and this directed a lot of attention on the event.

The show was greatly criticised for its unrealistic concept i.e. love and marriage via television show. The show’s attempts at humour backfired and Rahul was compared to a clown by some critics due to his ‘bizarre’ antics on the show.
