'Jai Maa Vaishno Devi' is a mythological venture for 9X channel which was produced by Bollywood actor
Dheeraj Kumar. The serial was produced together by Dheeraj Kumar and
Anwar Khan directed the serial. Produced by Creative Eye Limited, which is a listed company in BSE and NSE, the serial was aired on every Monday to Friday at 9 PM. It is a tale of how the shrine of Vaishno Devi came into existence in Kashmir Valley.
Hence, it is a re-told tale of famous devotees Sridhar Pandit and his pious wife Naina who has a faith in Goddess Vaishno Devi. On the other hand, there is an opposition to the devotion of Sridhar Pandit and Naina. There lives a tantric in the village named Bhairon Nath, who challenges the power of Goddess Shakti (Vaishno Devi) and gains some followers in the village. Even Sridhar’s brother Devdhar, who is headman of the village, falls into the trap of tantric Bhairon Nath. Bhairon Nath has a disciple named Gorak Nath, who persuades Devdhar to humiliate his brother and his wife.
Even Devdhar’s wife Kusum hates Suanaina as Sridhar was getting more popular with villagers for their devotion to Mother Goddess. What happens to Sunaina and Sridhar Pandit is the tale of this mythological serial.
Ravindra Jain composed the music of serial's title song, and
Shankar Mahadevan has sung the song. Even other singers like
Kavita Krishnamurthy, Ehsaan and Loy, had given their voice for some songs in the serial. In this serial, Rupa Dutta played the role of Maa Vaishnodevi.
Pracheen Chauhan narrated the role of Shridhar Pandit, and
Chahat Khanna was shown as Sunaina, the devoted wife of Shridhar Pandit. High-end graphics and animation powers were used in the serial to keep viewers attraction alive. Every episode had sketched the story of family drama which revolved around Mata Vaishno Devi and her devotees. Surya Raj Kamal has scored the background music. Prakash Patel had taken in-charge of art director. Anup Bhattacharya and Nagendra Mishra headed the production team, and Ajay Tandon was the cinematographer. Pappu Trivedi did editing. The serial was made to telecast from 28 April 2008.
