India Calling was the first daily soap launched by Star One. It was liked by a lot of viewers as it had different story line unlike the regular saas-bahu saga.
The story of India Calling revolves around the life of Chandani who adores her elder sister Mini Didi/Manisha who works at a call center in Mumbai. Due to her sister’s absence on her engagement day, Chandani decides to go to Mumbai to find her sister. Not being accustomed to the fast city life and ways, Chandani finds it difficult to adjust herself in Mumbai. Unable to find her sister, she starts working at a call center ‘India Calling’. There she falls in love with the owner of the call center, Aditya.

Manasi Parekh
as Chandani: Chandani is a simple girl belonging to a middle class family from Jalandhar. She is proud of being an Indian and of the Indian culture.
Manasi Parekh is a television actress. She made her debut with the serial Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi. Not many people know that this Gujarati girl is a trained classical singer who had given her vocal for the movie Devdas. Given to her singing skills, she had participated in the show Star ya Rock star. She has also anchored shows like
Idea Rocks India
and Hindustan Ke Hunarbaaz. She is also known for her work in serials like Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, Four and many more.

Vipul Gupta
as Aditya: Aditya is the owner of India Calling. He loves the city life. He is exactly the opposite of Chandani and therefore initially they find themselves in midst of tiffs and tussles.
Vipul Gupta is a model and actor. He came into the limelight with his performance in India Calling. He later quit television to focus on his career in movies. He appeared in Ye Saali Zindagi.
India Calling was aired from 14th November 2005 to 5th October 2006 on Star One.
