Star Performance

Even though the film stars the newcomers, their acting was commendable. There was a good intention carved out by Sai Ronak as he followed his role with commitment throughout the movie. Aditi Singh has a fairly engaging screen presence and she is fairly satisfactory in most scenes.

Analysis

Although there are nearly similar themes in most love movies, the feelings associated with love are still elegant and powerful enough to spur emerging directors to develop new film about love. Guppedantha Prema Click to look into! >> Read More... too has its moments of intense love feeling in the first 30 minutes of the second half. With the entry of Swara, the second half is relatively smooth, with no issue of boredom because of the inclusion of humor. About the actors, Sai Ronak also performed well by doing justice to the character that he got to play during the movie. However, Aditi Singh has a good screen presence, and in almost every scene, she has done an excellent job. Aishwarya gives full measures on screen and gets her energy levels right with a splendid performance. The major demerit of Guppedantha Prema that one can infer from the narration is the half-baked love track in the first half. The absence of innocence reduces the first half into a visually well-made music video. The interval point in the film gives us the lead pair, Yuvan and Sandy, but their love track does not have the needed emotional element in the second half. A song appears from the blue in the post-intermission part and interferes with the movie plot. Not even the intimate scenes between Sandy and Swara in the movie have that sparkle. However, it must be said that while the dialogues are impressive, the diction and style of delivery clash with the characteristic portrayals of the leading characters. The climax is a little pale but overall audience can enjoy the movie if neglects a few loopholes.

What’s There?

  • Swara Agrawal’s entry makes the second half effortless to watch and there is no dull moment as it has the comedy element.
  • Innocent love scenes in the second half are shown overwhelming and interesting to watch.
  • It was a brilliant cinematography experience.

What’s Not There?

  • A few errors, such as lack of love story in the first half.
  • Emotional depth in the feelings of the male leads to make you burst into tears.

Verdict

As expected with a tagline that claimed to capture the innocuousness and the pristine feelings of first love, it almost passed to deliver what it had set out to do. The movie is definitely worth your watching time, the actors did an exceptional work, which is commendable and the innocence of love won’t let you leave your seats earlier.

Ronak and Aditi Singh respectively. Yuv falls in love with Sandy at first sight, and seeks to get her as his lover. Sandy plays the hard-to-get girl and believes their love won't last, but eventually falls for Yuv as well. But, their relationship is put to test as distance and time root to tear them apart. Will their love survive or will it crumble? The film also sees actress, and newcomer, Aishwarya in a crucial role.
