Plot
Vyjayanthi is an IPS officer. She wants her son, Arjun, to become an officer like her. But, due to a turn of events, Vyjayanthi’s dreams are shattered. She cuts ties with her only son. Arjun becomes a criminal as per law. But, he is the saviour of the Vizag people. Meanwhile, Pathaan, a dreaded criminal, targets Vyjayanthi. Why does he want to kill her? Will Arjun save his mother? The rest of the film showcases these.
Star Performance
Vijayashanti has a super fit physique for a cop. She excels in her role. Once again, she proves that she is the Lady Superstar with her stunts and emotional performances. Kalyan Ram is neat in his role. Sohail Khan is decent in his role. Babloo and Srikanth are good in their roles, but they have limited screen time.
Analysis
The plot has nothing unique. The story is already done and dusted. In many movies of this genre, we have seen a father playing the role, and here it is a mother. However, the screenplay moves at a brisk pace. Vijayashanti has picked up the right story for her. Her fitness at this age is still surprising. Though the film has a few emotional scenes and the scenes between Shanti and Kalyan are good, a little more depth in those scenes would’ve made it stronger. Saiee Manjrekar’s role is quickly forgettable. For decent performers like Saiee, the makers should provide a role with enough performing scope. The visuals are pleasing, and the editing is sharp. The BGM is decent. The songs feel like listening to some old tunes. The film has sound production values.

Verdict
Despite the predictable story, the film has good performances and action for the fans of Vijayashanti and Kalyan Ram to enjoy. Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi – lives up to the title!
