Plot

Sembi is a ten-year-old girl who lives with her grandmother, Veerayi. They live in Kodaikanal amidst nature. Three rogues with sexual pleasures spoil the dreams of these two poor human beings from the tribal community. They filed a case against the miscreants. But, a cop maltreated Sembi and asked Veerayi to withdraw the case. In the fight between the cop and them, they had to save themselves and became the reason for his death. To escape from the case, they boarded a bus to Dindigul. The people in power chase these two poor souls. Will the passengers on the bus help them get justice? The rest of the film deals with it.

Star Performance

Kovai Sarala has done an excellent job. Her intense performance is inspiring, and this is one of her top-notch performances. Ashwin did justice to the given role.

Analysis

 Prabhu Solomon has always brought unique scripts, and his specialty is dealing with emotions. Sembi is a unique script that has a powerful performance by Sarala. Her character is designed well, and the director has given her an excellent opportunity to Sarala to expose her skills. Though she had done a few emotional scenes in her previous films, this role will stay in her as well as the audience’s minds forever. Though the film has some good performance-oriented sequences, the second half could’ve been shot better. Though some scenes were shot excellently, it didn’t help the story move further. The visuals by Jeevan and the BGM by Nivas help to elevate the film.
