Plot
Fed up with the frequent fights with the Asuras, the celestial beings, the Devas, approach Mahavishnu to bless them with immortality. He suggests that they use the Mountain, Mandhara, and Vasuki, the snake, as tools and churn the ocean to get Amrit. If they drink the Amrut, they’ll be immortal, says Mahavishnu. With the help of Narada, both Devas and Asuras start churning the ocean. It is agreed to share the Amrit between Devas and Asuras. However, in a turn of events, the Asuras lose their share of getting Amrit. But the Asura prince, Subarbhanu, disguises himself as one of the Devas, and drinks Amrit. Learning about his fraud, Mahavishnu decides to teach him a lesson. What’s the lesson taught? The rest of the story deals with this.
Star Performance
Vignesh fits well in the role of Mahavishnu. In fact, he is unrecognizable. Samuthirakani is okay as Lord Shiva. Kaushika, Kasthuri and the others have done what was required of them.
Analysis
After a long time, we have got a full-length devotional movie. It is exciting to see Samuthirakani and Vignesh in different roles. If we speak about the technical side of the film, it is weak. Although the latest technologies are available, the makers decided to go by the traditional way of making the film. People who haven’t watched the old devotional movies, can check this film for the making. However, if they’d used the technology properly, the result would’ve been better. The visuals are okay. The editing plays an important role in every movie. Editing should be strictly perfect in making movies using the traditional method. As they didn’t use the VFX, the editor’s work is made tough, but Lenin has done his part well.

Despite the mistakes, the makers deserve appreciation for bringing a full-length devotional film in a traditional way. For this attempt, we can watch it once!
