Plot
Vasudevan belongs to a middle-class family. He is married to Shanti, and has a son, Prabhu, and a daughter, Aarthi. Vasudevan dreams of owning a house. He saves money, but family expenses, including Prabhu’s capitation fee, Aarthi’s marriage, and medical bills, delay his dream. Did they finally own a house?
Star Performance
Sarath excels as a middle-class father. He is good in the emotional scenes. Devayani is good in her role, and her chemistry with Sarath is impressive. Meetha is okay as Aarthi. Yogi Babu is okay with his one-liners and body language.
Analysis
The story is simple, yet it has a lot of emotional moments. Siddharth looks good as a school student, a college student, and a guy in his late 20s. The makeup is good to show him as young. The characters are finely designed, yet Aarthi’s sacrifice is not highlighted. A few comedy scenes work out. Although it has emotional moments, the sequences are predictable. Some scenes are the standard middle-class scenes shown in the Indian cinema. The music is quite decent. The visuals are okay. But the editing needs to be sharp. The length should’ve been trimmed by at least 30 minutes.
