Dum is the latest Malayalam movie which has been directed by Anuram. The story has been based on the life of a criminal.

Plot: The script revolves around the life of a goon named Xavier and one of his henchmen whose name is Antony. He is one of the famous and dangerous criminals in the town. Both of them try to indulge in those activities which could help them in accomplishing their goals. But later on, Xavier falls in love with a girl named Sherin. He decides that he wold leave all these corrupt and criminal activities for the sake of that girl. What happens in the life of Xavier and his henchmen? Whether he would be able to marry that girl? Thus this makes up the rest of the story.

Analysis: The flick had been directed by Anuram. His excellent and superb directional skills have led to the super-hit of the picture. He has tried capturing each and every look in the best possible manner. It is his second film as a director, and he has struggled a lot for its success. Thus the music is great and adds charm to the film. The cinematography and editing are decent and increases the overall effect of the flick. Thus the makers have tried their best to make the picture a super-hit movie on the silver screens.

Their acting is terrific and adds luster to the whole plot. The performance has been appreciated a lot by the audience and has gained a lot of popularity. From all the expressions given by the actors to all the costumes worn by the stars, they all have added a special effect to the film. The way they have delivered their dialogues is also commendable. Shine Tom Chacko has gained a good amount of fan- following through one of his full- fledged action roles.

1. The direction done by Anuram is not up to the mark.

2. The story is moving at a very slow pace and thus is quite dull.

Verdict: Although the picture has some faults, the overall outlook and the effects are great and thus the movie could be watched once. It can be liked more by the people who love seeing action- packed flicks.
