Plot
The film revolves around a middle-class boy named Kumara who faces several difficulties in childhood and turns out to be a fierce man. Due to his wild attitude, he faces an incident that leads him to become a Don of Bangalore. The film begins with Seena, the follower of rowdy Bharath Shetty. He is shattered on receiving the news about Shetty’s murder by Don Kumara (V Chandrasekhar). He takes the help of another rowdy Jayanna, and they start finding Don Kumara.
They kidnap a journalist who knows about Kumara and beat him. The journalist tells them about Kumara. Then we are introduced to a flashback depicting Kumara’s Childhood. It shows how he was punished by his parents and imprisoned for beating his teachers and classmates. A girl named Sneha (Sahana Malathkar) loves him, but he rejects her love.
What happens to Kumara? Which incident makes him Don Kumara? What will happen to the love between Kumara and Sneha?
Star Performance
V. Chandra Shekar steals the whole film with his performance. He looks terrific on the screen. His dialogue delivery and expressions are outstanding. He shows all the characteristics of an underworld don. His action scenes are the most interesting part of this film.
Sahana Malathker’s acting is fantastic. She looks beautiful on the screen and spreads her charm throughout the film. Prakruthi Koushtubha, who has worked in films like Love Mocktail 2, gave a realistic performance in this film. Like her earlier films love birds and Kantara, Namrita Malla shows her versatility in this film also.
Analysis
The film’s suspenseful story catches the attention of the viewers from the very beginning. It also conveys many important messages, such as standing for our rights, fighting for justice, and forgiving our opponents. V. Chandra Shekar is the strength of this film. He makes the film interesting with his powerful performance. The underworld and the action scenes create a tense and gloomy atmosphere.
The film has some romantic and rocking songs which enrich the thrilling experience. The cameraman deserves a lot of praise for excellently capturing all the action and emotional elements. As a whole, Don Kumara is an impressive film.
