Plot

The movie kick starts with Abhay Gulati ( Imran Khan Imran Khan is an Indian film actor, who is famous >> Read More... ) and Aaliya Khan Aaliya Khan is a Professional Indian Emcee (MC) or >> Read More... ( Deepika Padukone Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress and model. S >> Read More... ), who are friends since childhood. While both have been romantically involved for a long time, they display stark contrast of character. While Abhay is just the quintessential nice guy, who is sincere, unadventurous and satisfied by whatever life offers him, Aaliya is adventurous, loud, and ambitious. While Abhay is happy with whatever he has, instability in Aaliya urges to explore things beyond love. Thus, she flies off to Australia, and Abhay unable to comprehend what it means for their relationship follows her up to Australia. The movie ends with the typical magical reunion, as Deepika realizes love was here all along.

Star Performances

Imran Khan although portrayed clingy is really endearing in his efforts to save the relationship.

What’s there?

The strength of the movie lies in the fact that the characters are very relatable as are the problems faced by them. Everything about the characters, the clothes they wear, the kind of language they speak and how contrasting characters compromise in a relationship, are all very identifiable.
The music is very groovy and catchy
The verbal exchanges are very witty.
The fact that both the protagonists are extremely good looking is a plus one for the movie.

What’s not there?

The movie never really evolves into anything different and by the second half, it has exhausted all its freshness.

Verdict

The movie has nothing new to offer but can still be a nice one time watch owing to its endearing and a witty couple banter.
