Plot
Following his adventures as a mischievous toddler, Bal Ganesh has grown up into a responsible deity. He sets out on a mission, as instructed by Bhagwan Shiva, to restore peace, and teach the forces of evil a nice lesson.
Star Performances
If there is something to remember about this film, it is the values and teachings of Bhagwan Shiva, as voiced by Samay Thakkar.
Ashar Sheikh, who voices Bal Ganesh, has done a decent job once again.

’, a flurry of animation movies, primarily based upon the folklore of India, hit the cinema screens. Among these was Pankaj Sharma’s ‘Bal Ganesh’, based on the eponymous elephant-headed God from Hindu mythology.
The movie was popular amongst the children, and it received rave reviews during its release in 2007. Following this, a sequel was made in 2009, repeating most of the characters, and integrating modern elements, with the spirituality intact.
So, does ‘Bal Ganesh 2’ work? Yes, and no. In terms of a fresh story, the makers made a sincere attempt to show how Bal Ganesh earned his place in the Deva Loka.
The animation effects, though not very out of the blue, are satisfactory. The voice cast has also done a sincere job in their efforts, with Ashar Sheikh and Samay Thakkar being the standout performers.
However, the integration of modern elements does seem a bit tacky, and in some sequences, unnecessary. Some of the characters had no contextual, or even logical relevance in the narrative. Maybe the decision of Pankaj Sharma to handle both the creative and the technical departments has something to do with this.
In terms of special effects, the film was far from being outstanding. Some viewers would be missing the charm of the iconic animated retelling of ‘

'Bal Ganesh 2’ aimed to be a fitting sequel to the popular animation flick ‘Bal Ganesh’. The lack of a proper storyline, followed by the awkward integration of various plot elements, made it a bit underwhelming. The voice casting, however, made honest efforts. This film is best as a one-time watch!
