The story is about Nell Sweetzer, who is found terrified and alone in rural Louisiana. She is sent to New Orleans safely but cannot remember her experiences of past few months. She is the only surviving member of her family when she decides to start a new life but the evil force once lived in her does not let her proceed. It brings horrific plans to her mind unimaginably.
This genre based on found footage still seems to be shaking out films even though many of them are not at all good. The first installment of the Last Exorcism worked pretty well as it made some sense on the story and the overall film execution was fine, despite the abrupt ending. To no one's astonishment, the achievement of that film predicted a sequel that is not about found footage style it is a normal movie that looks just fine despite its silly name. It is like Blair Witch Project; this movie also decided to the same route with this sequel.
To keep this story moving, the direction is just perfect, nut the story does not offer much. Ashley Bell is phenomenal in her role and keeps the movie intact. She delivers every emotion very nicely. It is a sequel that was not needed but still the audience welcomed it with hopes of a good plot and much more scary. It is entertaining on some levels but does not go up to the mark. The last Exorcism II does not take the story further; it has a daring opening scene, some suspense, and interesting characters but despite all this it is a complete fluke. It does not deliver good performances, so it is better to watch the first movie again rather than this dull and vague sequel.
