PLOT: A family from Wyrick moves into a historical home in Georgia in the year 1997. Emily Alyn Lind, a girl in the family, talks to Grant James, who was the owner of this house before. Later, it is unfolded that James was a spirit. When her family comes to know that she communicates with spirits, her aunt supports it. Whereas, her mother, Abigail Spencer Abhigail Spencer is an American actress born on Au >> Read More... , makes her to take medication for this condition. The spirits lure her to travel underground. When she does so, she unlocks an evil spirit, that goes behind her. This spirit is Grant's grandfather. He kidnaps Emily. Abigail contacts the spirits, and with the help of them, she rescues her daughter.

ANALYSIS: This movie is directed by Tom Elkins, who worked as an editor in 'The Haunting in the Connecticut,' that does not have any relationship with his movie. Most of the characters are well crafted, that it is tough to believe that the movie happened in reality. The director's inexperience is visible, when he was not able to deliver the scare through his direction. He seemed to be totally dependent on the music rather than the script. The writer managed to provide a back story with reasons for all events happening on screen.

STAR PERFORMANCES: This movie is having a solid cast, with Lind as the lead. She has a dominant role, and this was enough chance for showing her true talents.

WHAT'S THERE? The filters, transitions, and the locations, are magnificent, and deserve a mention. They were eerie as possible. Since this movie was inspired from a true story, all the original pictures and clips can be seen towards the end of the movie. Michael Wandmacher's music begins in a softer note and proceeds grandly.

WHAT'S NOT THERE? The presentation style of the movie was not good. The camera was not focusing at times.

VERDICT: A half-hearted sequel..
