Plot
Charlie McMillan, manager of a bank located inside a supermart, meets Max Kessler, his dude batch mate at the school reunion. Max, posing to be an FBI agent, pities Charlie for the life he was living, and invites him to the rented yacht to re-live the old golden days. Max destroys the yacht by placing two dead bodies to fake their death and Charlie takes up the identity of Dr. Ronald P. Fishman while Max becomes Butch Ryder, which leads to a roller-coaster ride in Puerto Rico full of money, ladies, The Gymnast and “Cancer”.
Star Performance
Having Adam Sandler in the lead overpowers the performances of others, but the act put up by David Spade is better than his older movies. Kathryn Hahn performed well and, had on-spot comic timing. Natasha Leggero, Luiz Guzman, Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, and Matt Walsh were also seen aptly living their characters. Overall performances are decent, but not up to the mark for a Happy Madison banner.
Analysis
As Adam Sandler was getting critiqued for “The Ridiculous Six” over the counter, The Do-over might receive some mixed-bag response. The movie might be a bit confusing at times, but some instances will make you laugh and the twists will keep you hooked. The action sequence was also a bit funny. David Spade did justice to the character by his portrayal. The feminists might resent the movie, as the women were represented a bit misogynistically but the creators can claim it as creative liberty. The characters lacked luster and, the writing felt a bit on the weaker side of the scale. Overall the movie is watchable.

Verdict
If you have a good 2 hours pass, give the movie a chance to tickle you here and there. Adam Sandler fans would find his usual and might enjoy the movie. Otherwise, there are better options to binge on and have good laughter.
