All the actors do a fantastic job of portraying their roles and bringing the story to life.

Analysis

The movie revolves around a young magician in Los Angeles named Bo. After his parent’s deaths and struggling to make a living, External activities forced Bo to turn to illegal activities to sustain himself and his sister.

Bo is an intellectual and intelligent guy, as we see from the fact that he developed the electromagnet in high school for a science project and even earned an engineering scholarship, but circumstances forced him to retreat after his mother died. So during the day, he spends his time performing magic tricks on the streets of Los Angeles.

During the night, he spends time dealing drugs with his supplier, Angelo, who is usually lovely to Bo. But things take a turn in his life when a new kingpin, Maurice, shows up and starts to sell drugs on the same turf. With the help of Bo, Angelo can find that guy and forces Bo to chop off Maurice’s hand.

Realising how dangerous it is, Bo decides to leave with his sister, but learning this, Angelo holds his sister Tina as ransom. Bo gets back in touch with his old high school science teacher, who helps him get more power from his electromagnet.

Now with more power, Bo visits Angelo, beats his man, retrieves his sister, and is able to move out to live a better life with his girlfriend Holly in San Diego along with his sister.

What’s There?

  • The film contains some Decent Special effects.
  • It also has an Intriguing Plot.

What’s Not There?

  • The film Lacks some good direction.
  • Some scenes are Unrealistic.

Verdict

The film “Sleight” is an excellent film with a refreshing twist to its genre. Jacob did a great job with his performance, and even though the tricks in the movie are a bit over the top, they still keep you hooked.

From the production to the actors nailing their roles, everything in the film is excellent, and you should watch the movie if you are looking for a fresh approach to the superhero genre.
