Plot
Madame Marie Curie left her  country Poland and shifted to Paris. At that time, Poland was part of Russia, and women were not allowed for studies. That is why, for her later studies and research, she shifted to Paris, France. Scientist Hendry found a new thing. He discovered that uranium salt emits a different type of energy and radiation only in a particular condition. This research was very famous. He thinks that there might be some material present in uranium. But he could not continue his research because it required more funds and machines. Later Madame Marie Curie decided to start work on this research. Is there really some substance present in uranium? Will Madame Marie Curie succeed in her research? The rest of the story deals with it.
Star Performance
Rosamund Pike did an excellent acting as a lead actress. Her look was terrific, and she showed the fundamental nature of Madame Marie Curie rather than some deliberately created drama. Her performance was outstanding in the movie. Sam Riley did great acting in the entire film. His role was only in the first half but he still created a significant impact in the movie. Anya Taylor-Joy did an astonishing performance in the movie. Ariella Glaser and Indica Watson as young Irene Curie were fantastic. Their role in the movie was not that big but it still created a significant impact on the film. All the other actors were as great as the main lead actors.
Analysis
The movie is based on the graphic novel which was published in 2010 called Radioactive: Marie& Pierre Curie: A Tale of Love and Fallout. This novel was written by an American artist named Lauren Redniss. The theme of the film was great. Humans can make a substance that can protect humans, and at the same time, it can destroy humans. This is the theme of the film. The film also describes how women are ignored in the society. The dialogues played much impact on the movie. The storyline was great, but should show some real struggles of Marie Curie. The movie was only showing the facts and not real struggles or some kind of drama or suspense in the film. At some point, the film became full because there was no suspense. The visuals were great. The film shows the natural look of people of the 19th century. It was delightful and pleasant. The music in the movie was fantastic.
