Plot
Fern, a 60+ widow, lost the livelihood due to a recession. So, she converts her van as her home and leads a nomadic life. She does some seasonal jobs with low wages and manages her life. What are the incidents she faces in her nomadic life and who all she meets forms the rest of the story.
Star Performance
Frances McDormand lives the role and impresses everyone with her emotional delivery.
Analysis
Though the plot may seem simple, the story's depth gets revealed with the screenplay and the narration. Besides this, the performance of the lead star projects the film and takes it to heights. The dialogues are awesome and the way Frances McDormand delivers is just fantastic. The BGM is much important for an emotional story and it gels well with the script and impresses. Similarly, the cinematography is stunning. The film doesn’t move at a very brisk pace, but it is neither slow. It is a kind of artistic film that showcases a lot of emotions and a different lifestyle.
