Plot: Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred(Jason Sudeikis) are two friends who are happily married, but they seem to miss their old lives when they were care-free and would break hell upon each other. Realizing this their wives decide to give them something they call a “Hall Pass,” both men are skeptical at first but then decide to give it a try, while the two friends think that it would be a fantastic time of their lives, it turns out to be the worst nightmare.

All the things that they think would happen once both go private goes awry as disastrous things start to happen, the girls that these guys hook up to give them a run for their money, meanwhile the wives free from their husbands for a while decide they should also have some fun, and they eventually do so. But it turns out their wild and horny adventures vent out soon as they find themselves not enjoying the moments as they realize that they are already married. One of them meets with an accident, while the husbands are busy cleaning up their own hot piping mess. The husbands rush back to their wives seeing their plight and are happily reconciled again. While the orgy finally seems to be over and the families would have reunited but still in the conclusion some hilarious, and outrageous secrets are revealed.

Analysis: “Hall Pass” is some “Harold and Kumar” type movie minus the whole family things minus its new concept. The whole thing about getting a ticket out of the usual boring lives just to get some long forgotten thrills is and later on paying for it is what the story tries to say over here. Screenplay though is appreciable, and that goes to Owen Wilson whose charismatic, cute style of acting seems to blow the lid off. But yes this movie has so much sex induced into it that you feel the high vibes every frigging time once you feel “that” scene is coming. But nonetheless it is okay on humor content and acting but yes the storyline could have been better plus the conclusion which is just there too hastily pack up this movie after the reconciliation.

Star Performances: I must mention Owen Wilson here. He is simply fantastic and the acts that we witnessed in “Shanghai Knights, Shanghai Noon” can be seen here too. Jaden Sudekis, Jenna Fisher compensate his absence well and thus do not disappoint.

What's There?

• Comedy is mixed well with Adult Humor, which is simply hilarious to watch.

• An interesting concept which feels new and worth watching. • Owen Wilson acts gracefully in this movie.

What's There?

• The storyline could have been more tighter and compact focusing on the concept.

• Excessive Adult content tarnishes it somewhere in the middle.

• An unsatisfying conclusion which looks wastes the humor and emotional build-up.

Verdict: Although one can “pass” one view of this movie still, Hall Pass is an okay-okay affair in my opinion. The movie packs a punch but only for once and make sure it does not make you think of a real “Hall Pass” for you.
