Plot

We all know about some deficiency diseases, don’t we? Similarly herein Maddy our character suffers from an immune deficiency disease known as SCID because of which she is not allowed to meet new people and leaving her home. Maddy played by Amandla Stenberg lives with her mother Pauline Whittier and her nurse Carla.

Due to Maddy’s disease, only a few people are allowed into their house which includes Pauline, Carla and Carla’s daughter. For Maddy, the whole world just surrounds her home, and her world is seen through the window of her room. One day, a new family shift into the neighborhood of the Whittier’s.

The newly moved family has a boy named Olly played by Nick Robinson Nick Robinson is an actor of an American origin. N >> Read More... who seems to be of the similar age to that of Maddy. Maddy sees the family through her window and Olly too sees her. One day, Olly and his sister walk into the Whittier’s place to greet them, and he enquires about Maddy to which Maddy’s mother politely declines about her whereabouts. While returning, Olly sees Maddy watching them through the window and their eyes meet.

Olly after that makes several attempts to get in touch with Maddy but only in vain. And the day comes where Olly sees Maddy standing beside the window and makes another attempt to reach out to her, wherein he writes down his number on the glass of the window, and they start chatting together.

Soon they fall in love. Maddy then convinces Carla to allow Olly in the house, in the absence of her mother as she knew her mother would not allow the same. Shortly things go out of hands when Maddy’s mother Ms. Whittier gets to know about Olly’s entry into the house and because of that she fires Carla citing it as her carelessness. As Maddy witnesses things falling apart, she decides of taking things in her hand to decide further about her life and her relation with Olly.

Now as things get in the hands of Maddy, a series of events take place which leads Maddy to the ultimate truth of her life which she is unknown of, which will have a great impact in Maddy’s life. Now what is yet to be witnessed is the truth and how does it change the lives of Maddy and Olly.

Analysis

Everything, Everything a novel adaptation of the same name written by J .Mills Goodloe has made a successful attempt in hooking the audience with the plot and Stella Meghie making no huge changes with the scenario of the novel. Stella Meghie along with Igor Jadue Lillo has carved out yet another super hit.

Performance

Amandla and Nick Robinson were the best - chosen celebrities to portray the characters of Maddy and Olly. Their chemistry together brings in all a whole different vibe within the plot. They seem to be victorious in bringing out the onscreen emotions of the characters which are truly the most appreciating work done by them.

What’s There?

1) A usual love story with a simple plot and the twist represented is done magnificently.

What's Not There?

1) Exaggeration of the supporting characters could have been minimized.

Verdict

The movie Everything Everything might not fulfill the agenda of bringing different genre people together. But this movie will definitely quench the thirst among people who still are looking forward to the concepts of true love.
