“Bite” will make you bite your nails during its scary scenes which are enough to shake the hell out of you. A pure form of horror can leave you spellbound when you would finish the movie and I can bet on that.
Plot
The lead character Casey which is performed by Elma Begovic. She is going to marry very soon. Her fiancé is a solid workaholic, rich and lives with his mother posh building. Her mother-in-law turns out to be very dominating, bossy too. Before the marriage, Casey goes for a vacation with her girlfriends which turns out be very wild. At their vacation location, a scary creature bites her along with slowly she also gets transformed into the creature also. She lays the egg, spits acid like a horrifying bug same as the creature. Gradually she harms her neighbors, loved ones too.
Analysis
The overwhelming experience and nervousness keep you attached to the movie, thanks to writer Jayme Laforest and many thanks to Archibald too. I swear these can hit the audience out of nowhere. The Indie filmmaker does it again with his talents and merits. Cleverly showing the body horror in the world of CGI is a pure hidden quality of Archibald.
The production is one of the elements you can’t ignore that adds more spice to the curry. The creative production designer Vincent Moskowec cleverly turns the apartment into a sudden, scary, messy, vital place which turns out to be an advantage. Literally, at every aspect, the scene looks alive.
Star Performance
You can feel how powerful character is Begovic in her role as the story moves forward. You will be surprised to see the transformation of her into a monster. The rest of the cast were the tiny elements who helps t hold you till the end of the movie and are very much appreciated.
What’s There
1. Refreshing body horror style in the world full of CGI whereas there exists a little bit of CGI also.
2. Practical production design that makes you think everything is real for a while.
3. Impressive special effects which are enough to give you nightmares about the creature.
4. The very much practical effect by Jasshie Derushie on Begovic when she turns into a monster is highly remarkable one.
What’s Not There
1. The dialogues were not placed perfectly in some of the situations.
2. Cinematography will harass you in some of the ways.
Verdicts
Though it has very rare faults, if you are a fan of a horror movie then it’s a must watch for you that guarantees to give you Goosebumps.
