Plot
There was a low-rent amusement park Action Point. It is known for its safety hazards. Even so, it was famous in youth as it was the only park in that location. The owner of the park is D.C. There is new amusement park known as 7 Parks constructed in nearby their area. This results in a great loss for D.C. He is forced to sell his land as he has a debt of $100,000 loan. His teenage daughter Boogie understands his condition and decides to help him as a part of her summer job. Both of them, with staff, came to investigate 7 Parks but got caught red-handed. What will happen next? Will D.C and his daughter will able to save Action Point from selling? The rest of the story deals with it.
Star Performance
Eleanor Worthington Cox, as Boogie Carver, did an incredible performance in the film. Her journey to help his father to save Action Point was brilliant. She was perfect for the role of a teenager. She was smart, but also had her childish desires as a teenager. Her detailing of the character was outstanding. She did a fantastic performance in dialogue delivery throughout the movie. Johnny Knoxville, as Deshawn Chico “D.C.,” was perfect in his character. He shows the nature of both a loving father and grandfather. His comic timing and dialogue delivery were excellent in the film. His acting was factual and natural. One would hate him after watching this movie. That much impact he made in the whole film. Chris Pontius, as Benny, was funny and exciting. He did a remarkable performance in the movie. All the other actors were as good as the main lead actors.
Analysis
The storyline of the film was great, funny, exciting, and entertaining —the film focuses on the central theme of safety measures in an amusement park. The film is based on the documentary “The Most Insane Amusement Park Every” by Matt Robertson. The comic nature of the film is maintained from the start till the end. The story had a good share of jokes. The storyline was interesting but lacked scripting. The script can be improved as it is not well written. The direction and cinematography in the film were good. The adventurous journey of D.C and his daughter Boogie to save their Action Point was demonstrated in the movie. The action scenes were perfect for the comic element in the movie. The message and theme were excellent in the film. The background music and songs play a significant role in the movie. The dialogues were excellent.
