Shweta Basu was a serial artist before she entered the film industry. Though she appeared in a few films, she could not shine in the cinema industry. Recently, she was arrested by the police under the Prostitution case. When the judge inquired about that to the actress, the matter she told shook everyone. Yes, she said that her parents forced her to do prostitution. Then the judge let her free with a charge. Then, Shweta got an opportunity in a Hindi serial, and now she continues to do Telugu and Hindi serials. Recently, a director approached her to perform in her biography. But, Shweta denied and told that if her biography is made as a movie or a series, then, her arrest case will be projected than her life events. She also told the director not to make her biography, with some other actresses too.
