Why Did Anushka Opted Out From Tamasha?

Anushka Sharma, who has been working with Ranbir Kapoor in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil under the direction of Karan Johar, turned down the offer to pair Ranbir, earlier. Yes, it was for “Tamasha,” which released last year. The film directed by Imtiaz Ali had Deepika Padukone, the ex-beau of Ranbir Kapoor. Imtiaz's first choice was the most sought actress, Anushka. As she denied doing the film, Imtiaz passed it to Deepika. The reason why Anushka denied doing it is, the story focused on the hero and not the heroine. Anushka was asked if she regretted not doing the film and the actress replied that she had not yet seen that film. When asked about the director, she said, “If I had done it, I might have praised the director.” However, the film which released amidst high expectations didn’t go well at the box office. Now, Anushka is busy doing her home production film, “Phillauri” with Diljit Dosanjh.
